This is a huge ruin of warehouses built in the Tumulus period (250-538). The south hill at the skirt of Izumi mountain range was found to be cleared and flattened to build neatly rowed warehouses, five of them in the west side of the site and two in the east. The largest measured 10×8 meters. Investigation shows that it had been there for an extremely short range of time from the beginning of the 5th century and lasted only about 50 years. The pillars have been taken away by yanking them out from the ground, so it seems that they were destroyed on purpose. There are various opinions about who had made the warehouses, but one should know about these ruins when they think of the harbors and roads in the north side of the Kinokawa river. A miniature model of these buildings and relics are displayed at the Kii Fudoki-no-Oka Prefectural Museum.
