Hashimoto City Area, Shrines and Temples

Suda Hachiman Shrine

Founded in 859. The figure-painted mirror that have been passed down here is designated as National Treasure as one of the oldest stone epigraphs in Japan. (Deposited at the Tokyo National Museum). The annual festival in mid-October has become an Intangible Cultural Property of the prefecture. The weeping cherry tree and the irises are also popular.
