Fujishiro‘s name is known in poems by Arimanomikoto. The tragedy of Arimanomikoto, who was executed here, will become realistic as you climb up the steep hill of Fujishiro. The view of the ocean is said to be one of the best sceneries on the Kumano Kodo which can be seen from the turf of the Imperial Palace “Gosho no Shiba”. The walking route will lead you down the Kumano Kodo Trail to the site of Kitsumoto Oji (shrine) and ends at the JR Kamogo Station.
