The Kinokawa Basin Cultural Heritage Utilization Regional Revitalization Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”) establishes the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”) regarding the handling of privacy information in services provided on this app (hereinafter referred to as “the Service”). 

Article 1 (Privacy Information) 

“Personal Information” in privacy information refers to “personal information” as referred to in the Personal Information Protection Act, and is information related to living individuals, including their name, date of birth, address, and telephone number, contact information, or other information that can identify a specific individual.  “Personal History Information and Characteristic Information” of the privacy information means something other than the “personal information” defined above, such as the service used, the products purchased, the history of pages and advertisements viewed, searched keywords, usage date and time, usage method, usage environment, zip codes and gender, occupation, age, user IP address, cookie information, location information, terminal identification information, etc.

Article 2 (Privacy Information Collecting Method) 

When a user registers for the service, the Council may ask for personal information such as the user’s name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, bank account number, credit card number, and driver’s license number. In addition, we will collect transaction records made between the users and business partners (including information providers, advertisers, advertisement distribution destinations, etc.; hereinafter referred to as “Partners”) including the user’s personal information, and information related to payments will be sent to us.  The Council collects personal history information and characteristic information such as the services and software used by the user, purchased products, history of pages and advertisements viewed, searched keywords, date and time of use, usage method, usage environment (including the communication status of the terminal when used through a mobile terminal, various setting information for use, etc.) IP address, cookie information, location information, terminal identification information when the services of this organization or Partners are used by the user or when the user browses the page.

Article 3 (Purpose of Collecting and Using the Personal Information)

The purpose of collecting and the use of personal information by the Council is as follows.

(1) The purpose of displaying information to the users related to registered information such as the user’s name, address, contact information, payment method, etc., services used, purchased products, and their prices for viewing and modifying their own registered information and viewing their usage status

(2) The purpose of using the e-mail address to notify or contact the user, or using the contact information such as their name and address when sending products to the user or to contact them when necessary

(3) The purpose of using information such as the user’s name, date of birth, address, telephone number, bank account number, credit card number, driver’s license number, or mail arrival result with delivery proof to verify the identity of the user

(4) The purpose of displaying information registered to this organization on the input screen or transferring it to other services (including those provided by Partners) based on the user’s instructions so that the user can easily enter the data

(5) The purpose of using information necessary for the organization such as information on inquiries and billing, etc. to provide services to users, user service usage status, contact information, etc. in order to respond to inquiries from users

(6) The purposes associated with the above purpose of use

Article 4 (Provision of Personal Information to a Third Party)

1. The Council will not provide personal information to third parties without the prior consent of the user, except in the following cases. However, unless otherwise permitted by the Personal Information Protection Law or other laws.

(1) When required by law

(2) When it is necessary to protect the life, body or property of a person and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the user

(3) When it is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound development of children and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the user

(4) In the case where it is necessary for a national institution or local public entity or a person entrusted with it to cooperate in carrying out the affairs stipulated by laws and regulations, and obtaining the consent of the person can be an obstruction of the performance

(5) When the following matters are announced in advance

 i. Including the provision to third parties for the purpose of use
 ii. Items of data provided to third parties
 iii. Measures or methods of provision to third parties
 iv. Stop providing personal information to third parties at the request of the user

2. Regardless of the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the following cases shall not apply to third parties.

(1) When the Council commissions all or part of the handling of personal information within the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use

(2) When personal information is provided in connection with business succession due to a merger or other reasons

(3) When personal information is jointly used with a specific person and the user is notified in advance or is in a state where the user can easily know the items of personal information used jointly, the extent of the users, the purpose of use, and the name of the person responsible for the management of the personal information.

Article 5 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

When the Council is requested the disclosure of personal information by the user, the Council will disclose this to the individual without delay. However, if any of the following applies to the disclosure, all or part of it may not be disclosed. If a decision is made not to disclose it, the Council will notify the user without delay. When disclosing personal information, a fee of 1,000 yen will be charged per case.

(1) When there is a risk of harming the life, body, property or other rights and interests of the person or a third party

(2) When there is a risk of significant hindrance to the proper implementation of the work of the Council

(3) When it violates other laws and regulations

Regardless of the provisions of the preceding paragraph, information other than personal information such as personal history information and characteristic information will not be disclosed in principle.

Article 6 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)

If the personal information held by the Council is incorrect, the user can request the Council to correct or delete the personal information according to the procedure established by the Council.

If the Council determines that it is necessary to respond to the request in the preceding paragraph from the user, the personal information will be corrected or deleted without delay, and this will be notified to the user.

Article 7 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.)

If the user asks to stop or delete the use of personal information because it is handled beyond the extent of the purpose of use, or because it was obtained by fraudulent means, the Council will conduct necessary investigations without delay, and based on the results, the Council will suspend the use of personal information and notify the user to that effect.

However, if there is a large amount of expense for suspending the use of personal information, or if it is difficult to suspend the use the Council may take alternative measures necessary to protect the rights and interests of the user.

Article 8 (Change of Privacy Policy)

The contents of this Policy can be changed without notifying the user.

Except as otherwise provided by the Council, the revised privacy policy will take effect when it is posted on this website.
