Mera Kofun

It is a round ancient burial mound built around the 6^th century and has a horizontal stone chamber. It is on the foot of the hill of the Maruta area which is the starting point of the mountain path leading to the harbor of Osaki. It is thought to be the tomb of a powerful family who had control of the transportation route between Osaki and Kamogo.
