Osaki

Osaki, which is a branch bay of Shimotsu bay acted as a perfect mooring spot for small boats back then. This is because the bay faced south with its entrance surrounded by mountains, so the boats can survive the wind better than the Shimostu bay which faced northwest. It is known to be a bay where the ships depart since the ancient times.

There are some Wakas left in the Manyoshu when Isonokamino Otomaro was on his way from the city of Nara to Tosanokuni (Kouchi prefecture) as he was being banished to the island for committing a crime.

The small shore where the God of Osaki lives is not a wide one, but every ship and sailor stop by at this shore. (on the other hand, I am just passing by, with no chance of dropping by.)
