Rishogokokuji temple

A temple allegedly built by a monk called Gyoki ordered by Emperor Shomu. The main hall is an Important Cultural Property of Japan, and the main sitting statue of Dainichi Nyorai is an Important Cultural Property designated by the prefecture. There is a pine tree called Taiko-komatsunagi, which is related to Hideyoshi. Once every two years, a festival called the “Oh-chamori” is held where you can enjoy tea in a large bowl.
