A route that takes you back to the ancient Emperors’ and Royal Families’ journey, which had been performed many times in the remote past. Mainly following the Yamato-kaido Road, you can see the ruins of the Imperial Palace (the Emperor’s Temporary Lodging House) and head to the Kii-Kokubunji ruins. In the area near the JR Nate and Kokawa stations, you can see that the route of the Nankaido is inherited today by the Yamato-kaido.
