Zempuku-in temple

The temple formerly was a Zen temple called Koufuku-Zendera and was renamed to Zempuku-in in the Meiji period. The Shaka-do hall (National Treasure) which became the main hall is assumed to be built in the late Kamakura period. The building is a reminiscent of the days when the Zen temples were prosperous.
