Yata mountain pass is located on the Kumano Kodo, which leads through Wakayama City to Kainan City. At this carved pathway, you can see how the road was built back in the old days. This route follows the road that is currently introduced as the Kumano Kodo.
The pink line indicates where the Nankaido used to be. The red line is the walking course.
