Awashima Shrine
This shrine is said to be originally located on Kamijima of Tomogashima island but was moved to the mainland in the era of Nintoku. It may be the “Kada Shrine” written in the Engishiki Jinmyocho (an ancient list of shrines). Many worshippers visit the shrine to hold memorial services for their dolls and needles.
