Wakayama City Area, Katsuragi-Shugen, Shrines and Temples
Syonen-ji temple is located south of the Kasuga Shrine. In the first year of the Meiji era, it is said that in accordance with the Shinto-Buddhism Separation Ordinance, the Noman-do’s main statues, Kokuso Bosatsu (made by Jo-cho), the Bishamonten (made by Enno-gyoja), and the Fudo Myo-o (made by Kobo Daishi) were moved to this temple.
